William E. Woods, M.D.

Dr. Woods attended Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, AL and completed Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. His internship was done at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA and he did his residency for Obstetrics/Gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, IL. He has been in practice at this corporation since July 1995.

Dr. Woods is a member of the Lake County Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Executive Committee, Medical Staff of VISTA East Hospital and Medical Staff of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and American Medical Association.

Dr. Woods and his wife Essie have 4 children, Carmen, Shaw, Camille and William E., Jr. He enjoys playing music and golf. Dr. Woods resides in Highland Park, Illinois.

Carmen Woods Hollowell, M.D.

Dr. Carmen Woods Hollowell grew up in Highland Park, IL. She attended Spelman College in Atlanta, GA for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a BS in Biology. She received her Medical Degree from Meharry Medical School in Nashville, TN and did her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Carmen Woods Hollowell is a member of the Lake County Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Medical Staff of VISTA East Hospital and Medical Staff of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and American Medical Association.

Dr. Woods Hollowell is married to Courtney Hollowell, MD and has 2 sons. She enjoys jewelry making, traveling and gourmet cooking.

Sydney Jakcsy, MMS, PA-C

Sydney grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then attended Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, receiving her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Sydney and her husband have a dog that they spoil. In her free time she is an assistant director for a summer camp for middle school students, coaches middle school students in academic competitions, volunteers with children with special needs, and cheers on her Michigan Wolverines at every opportunity.

Faina Furman, APN, WHNP-C, ANP-C

FainaFaina graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a major in Nursing Science and minor in Psychology in 1998. Working as a Labor and Delivery nurse, she realized that obstetrics and gynecology is her true passion, and she pursued her Master degree in Nursing at Loyola University of Chicago, becoming a Board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2005.

 

Faina is married and has three daughters; she loves to travel the world, play guitar, and enjoys singing. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.

Her motto is ” Treat others the way you would like to be treated “. She believes in the important role of women in society and thinks that a healthy and happy woman creates a healthy and happy family, while healthy and happy families create a healthy and happy world.
